Checks or donor advised funds

Check

Gifts made via check will be eligible for the Day of Giving match if the donor emails dayofgiving@stanford.edu with the gift amount and designation during the match period (5 a.m. PT May 14 until 5 p.m. PT May 15).

  • Checks should be made payable to “The Board of Trustees of the Leland Stanford Junior University” or “Stanford University” and mailed to: Stanford University P.O. Box 20466 Stanford, CA 94309-0466 

Donor advised funds

There are two ways for your gift via donor-advised fund (DAF) to be eligible for the Day of Giving match:

  • To log in to your DAF account directly, simply select the “DAFpay | Donor Advised Fund” button as your payment option when you make your gift. You can securely log in to your existing donor advised fund account through DAFpay without creating an additional username and password. Giving through DAFpay will automatically qualify your DAF gift for the Day of Giving match. 
  • Alternatively, you can email dayofgiving@stanford.edu with the gift amount and designation during the match period (5 a.m. PT May 14 until 5 p.m. PT May 15) for your gift to qualify for the Day of Giving match.

Stocks, securities, or wire transfers

Stocks or Securities

Gifts made via stock or securities will be eligible for the Day of Giving match if the donor emails stockgifts@stanford.edu with the gift details (number of shares, security description, ticker symbol, and designation) during the match period (5 a.m. PT May 14 until 5 p.m. PT May 15).

Wire transfers

Gifts made via wire transfer will be eligible for the Day of Giving match if the donor emails wire_transfers@lists.stanford.edu with the gift amount and designation during the match period (5 a.m. PT May 14 until 5 p.m. PT May 15).
